Thankss & Appreciated for this value found.......
ZAYED,,
way cool !!
finally . the 100% proof from porsche.
1991 500E
After reading twice , i think the author of this article on the japanese blog has misinterpreted the porsche information he got !
I'm not really convinced about a contract between Audi and Mercedes .
They said that PORSCHE was responsible for custom development and production, not Audi .
And this one ?
Since they are refering to Audi RS2 and E500E's in the same article , it doesn't mean that Mercedes cooperated with Audi .
So ??????????

I think the only company that Mercedes put hand with was Auto Union (PORSCHE)......

The Auto Union race cars were designed by the famous engineer Ferdinand Porsche; see in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto_Union,

Yep the Auto Union A, B & C-Types where designed by Dr. Porsche, the D-Type was designed Eberon von Eberhorst who also sorted out the two stage blower and carburation on the earlier V16's.
As a side fact Mercedes-Benz also owned Audi/NSU prior to Volkwagen AG; Audi being the son of Auto Union (Horsche, DKW, Audi and Wanderer) shown by the same logo of the four interlocking rings.
Dr. Porsche designed the Mercedes 540SSK. Dr. Porsche also was head technical guy of Austro Daimler.
I used to be an Audi tech about the time the Audi RS2 Avant was out and I've been out in quite a few of them, they are one of my favorite cars, lots of turbo lag but they go like hell when on boost, very savage. Whilst the RS2 had a lot of Porsche involment (968CS brakes and wheels, suspension set up, and engine tuning & bumpers styled like 993) I don't think the car was actually built by Porsche rather quattro GMBH which is a subsidary of Audi AG.
I think the only German car maker to have not worked with others is BMW

That's now three cars mentioned in this thread that are in my dream garage (E500, RS2 & 928). 928 S4 GTS, another all time classic motor car, totally brilliant I still cannot belive that the 928 was a child of the 70's. I think I was nine or ten years old when the car came out, I'm 42 years old in November. I think the 928 is like the 2nd sexiest shaped car ever made after the 328 GTS or maybe 288 GTO.

WaaW (E500E & RS2 & 928) sooo agree with you, Dream to see these diamonds always, aaaah.."..>
ZAYED,,
Back to your misleading post again.
"The Auto Union race cars were designed by the famous engineer Ferdinand Porsche; they were based on an earlier design he had done using a mid-engined layout similar to the famous 1923 Benz Tropfenwagen, or "Teardrop" aerodynamic design. (That unique car was built under the direction of Max Wagner, who was now at Daimler-Benz, and was raced by his current business partner, Adolf Rosenberger)".
the above quote does not mean that Porsche AG is Auto Union (read your post above).
you might have meant it that way. In that case ... somebody needs to go to school again. that is, if he's gone to school in the first place !
Anyway. I'll try to get one of those Porsche reports , maybe the 1989-1990 report has something about the 500E production agreement.
Regards
1991 500E
Somebody pls. give this man a *CANDY*, his worth a good one
